GHABA celebrate 50yrs of grooming perfection

The Ghana National Hair Dressers and beauticians Association has observed their 50th years Anniversary in promoting grooming and perfection.
Madam Tina Offei Yerenkyi, the National President of the association at the event explained that, the association was formed in 1972 by the founding members as a non political, religious and ideological, under the umbrella to promote businesses of the membership.
She urged the members to be tolerant to one another to help make the association attractive to reduce youth unemployment as the government alone can not absorb all the teaming unemployed in the public sector.
She commended all stakeholders who helps in a diverse ways to keep the association going, says they are determine to work hard in unity through the vision of the leadership to promote the members interest, as they are poised going digital to create data to ensure more accountability.
The theme for the event was Accelerating the Adoption of Digital Solution in the Hair and Beauty Industry; the Role of Ghana.
Madam Yerenkyiri entreated members to strive hard to remains professionals to enable them improve upon service delivery, she revealed that, one of their achievement is putting up an ultramodern training centre at Ga South to enhance and promote TVET, and make a passionate appealed to the government and corporate organizations to help them complete the project timely.
According to her, when the project completed, it would help them come out with skills training centre to ensure that those come out of the centre compete globally while looking for an innovative solutions.
Mr. Morgan Ayawine, the General Secretary of Industrial Commercial Workers Union (ICU) as a guest speaker said the fifty years of the association is an enviable contribution made to socioeconomic growth and development of the country since it’s inception.
He stated that, the association has impacting employable skills to young women and creating job opportunities for the youth making them responsible for their families and the society in general.
He disclosed that, the association is also making the young women self employed and reliance augmenting government efforts at creation and impacted positively on employment situation and unemployment statistics in the country.
He expressed the view that, the tasks of nation building can not be left on government alone it’s a collective responsibilities of all to stick to the building.


He underscored that, GHABA finds  itself in the informal sector of the economy decided to contributes their quota to the socio-economic development of the country and commended the founding members for the vision.
