*THE HON. MP FOR NHYIAESO TO SET UP A SECURITY TASK FORCE TO ARREST MINORS WHO ENGAGE IN SPORTS BETTING.*

Hon. Dr. Stephen Amoah, a.k.a Stika, MP for Nhyiaeso constituency in the Ashanti region is set to form a security task force as part of the seven (7) development committees driving his developmental agenda for the good people of Nhyiaeso to arrest minors who engage in sports-betting at betting centres, weed smoking and drunkenness and hand them over to the district police commander.

This according to him is in the wake of shaping the lives of the youth for a better future and also beef up security in the Nhyiaeso constituency to make it a safer place to live.

The use of unregistered motor bikes are also said to be illegal within Nhyiaeso constituency jurisdiction as nineteen (19) has already been arrested and handed over to the police

At a community engagement program dubbed, “Community Connect, Accounting to the good people of Nhyiaeso” in Sokoban, the Honourable Member of Parliament reiterate his commitment in helping the youth in the constituency to make a better life in future and hence the establishment of a community development office at Paraku Estate to address challenging issues confronting the youth and the citizenry.

He also visited places like Daban, Cindy’s Junction, Timpom, Ahodwo, Santasi, Kwadee juction, Apraman, Atasemanso and many other places within the constituency to have a similar engagement with the constituents.

Hon Stephen Amoah, accounting on his stewardship in one and half years of his tenure as MP mentioned the procurement of 1200 dual desk for 2200 basic schools pupils in all government school within the constituency, computers and printers for all second cycle institutions like KSTS, St. Hubert, OWASS, Prince of Peace SHS, the newly built John Agyekum Kufuor Senior High (JAK SHS), provision of portable water for some schools, financial support for some traders, and many others.

He emphasised that the NPP is the best party which thinks about the welfare of Ghanaians and they have done exceptionally well.

Dr. Stephen Amoah was however quick to admit the current economic challenges the country and the Government is dealing with due to Covid-19 Pandemic and Russian – Ukraine war crisis but added that the NPP Government is best party in Ghana that knows how best to revive this country from this economic doldrum.
