NDC National Executives storm Ashanti for membership drive towards elections 2024

The National Executives of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) storms the Ashanti region to commence their brach elections and to canvas for membership drive towards elections 2024 to ensure their victory a mere formality.
Mr. Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communication Officer of the party at press briefing explained that, the Ashanti region is the priority of their priorities in terms of elections as the region gave the National Democratic Congress (NDC) the second largest votes after greater Accra in nominal terms.
According to him, it’s time the residents or electorates in the region join the NDC as a party that prioritized the people in terms of their developmental drive agenda and improving their living standards, hence the party NDC attaches all seriousness in their branch registration and elections to ensure that, whoever wants to join the party is registered as a member.
The National Executives that storms the region includes Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the National Chairman, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah general secretary, Mr. Kwaku Boahen Deputy organizer, Mr. Sammy Gyamfi National Communication Officer, Mr. Aku Gann deputy communication officer, Madam Hannah Bissew National Women’s Organizer and other officers are in the region to ensure effective and efficient branch registration as a formidable foundation going into the 2024 general elections.
He stressed that, it’s true that, there are uncountable residents in the region that regretted and fed up with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the abysmal performance and lack of development in the region across all srctors.
The communications officer is urging those who are disappointed and fed up with the NPP not to remained as sympathizers or supporters of the NDC but registered at their various branches from the 18 of August to August 2022.
He was of the view that, we do politics or vote for votes, argued that, since the residents started voting for the NPP for long time what physical or monumental development can they pointed out in the region in the last five and half years.
He reiterated that, the NPP government can not boast of any development in the Ashanti region when it’s cones to trade and commerce, says since the previous NDC government under the leadership of the former president John Dramani Mahama, realised that mothers and women in the region main occupation is trading, the then NDC government provided a lot of modern markets in the Kumasi metropolis, amongst them he said includes Kejetia market, Atonsu, Asawase, old tafo markets to promote trading in the region
He stated that, when it’s comes to Education, the NDC government started 124 Community Day Senior High Schools out of which 50 of them were completed and twelve (12) being in the Ashanti region yet the ruling NPP which could boast of over 1.2,000.000 votes can not boast of only one Senior High School in the region in the past five years in government and can not even complete the uncompleted ones.
He said when it’s comes to health the NDC provided many hospitals i n various past of the Ashanti region, which includes Tepa, Konongo, Fomena, Military hospital at Feri and regional hospital at Sewua.
Mr. Sammy Gyamfi grab the opportunity to invited all the rank and file in the region who believe in the NDC ideology of doing politics or voting for development to take advantage of the branch registration and be part of the NDC, the only party that brings development to the Ashanti region.
He disclosed that, the youth who are the future of the region and the country to join and be part of the NDC as a party that does not discrimination and gives a level playground irrespective of ones age, religion, tribe or geographical location.
