The attention of the office of Mr Amofa Juantoah,a very renowned Businessman, Philanthropist and popular politician have been drawn to a Press release dated 6th July 2022,signed by the Municipal Chief Executive of Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal Assembly HON. MICHAEL AMOAH AWUKU.
The office wishes to express our extreme shock with the statement put out there by the MCE HON AMOAH AWUKU which contains a lot fabrications and concocted stories with the motive of tarnishing the good name of Mr Amofa Juantoah concerning a community mining ceremony held at Adankwame on 30th June 2022.
In the said release, the MCE sought to throw dust into the eyes of the public, concerning a false claim purportedly made by Mr Jantuah Amofa personally on his Facebook wall, which said to the effect that Mr Jantuah Amofa has claimed ownership of Adankwame community mining scheme.
The office wish to put on record that,Mr Juantoah has never through either audio or by written claimed ownership of the Adankwame Community Minning.
Again the office wants to ask, where did Mr Amoah Awuku, the MCE of Atwima Nwabiagya see any document purportedly written and circulated by Mr Jantuah Amofa, claiming ownership of the Adankwame community mining scheme, which prompted the MCE to produce such a fictitious press release?
We wish to state with no equivocation that the MCEs Press Release is pregnant with sarcasm and malice intention the soar the hard won reputation of MR AMOFA JUANTOAH that is why without verification from the man in question he hastily put out the information into the public domain through n the official letterhead of the Atwima Nwabiagya municipal assembly.
Let me give you all a little background Ladies and gentlemen and members of the press. During the Bantama constituency chairmanship campaign, Mr Jantuah Amofa made it clear on radio and TV that one of his main priorities is to train the youth of Bantama constituency in community mining to enhance their employment skills in the small scale gold mining sector aka community mining.
As a successful gold miner himself and a business man, Mr Jantuah Amofa was of the view that this government needs all the help it can get to help the youth from drifting away from national development. That was one of the centerpieces of his campaign.
Indeed, after the campaign, he continued to pursue all avenues and to learn more to make this dream come true. So when the public launch of the Adankwame community mining scheme was held, which was attended by chiefs, miners, government officials and the general public, he was duly invited and truly participated with a lot of people of which he took pictures with a lot of people including the Hon Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Recourses so he cannot be blame solely as to how some of the pictures got to social media specifically Facebook.
The premises of the MCE’s statement are baseless and utter disgraceful behavior and makes mockery of a leader with such a high position.
