The Director of Education in Kumasi Metropolis, *Mr David Oppong* has complained bitterly over the mad persons ,squatters, and car sellers are using school lands for their personal gains and call on authorities to intervain before it gets worse.
He also mentioned that alot Schools in Kumasi Metro do not have security men to protect Lives and properties in various Schools.
Speaking with *Agyenkwa fm’s Obofo Michael* when the *Member of Parliament for Manhyia North Constituency of the Ashanti Region, Hon Akwasi Konadu* donates *desks, cardboards, Office tables and chairs to schools* in his constituents .
He added that, weadequate classroom block is also another charllenge, alot of our classrooms are c
congested which do not promote teaching and learning.
However, the member of Parliament for Manhyia North *Hon Akwasi Konadu* who presented the items includes foreign chairs for kindergarten, mono desks for primary and junior high schools, staff office chairs and tables also said, it is always a delight to be in my Constituency Manhyia North, discharging my primary duty as a member of Parliament, interacting with my constituents and addressing their concerns.
According to him, the donation came on the back of requests from the beneficiary schools through the Metro Director of Ghana Education Service (GES).
Hon Akwasi Konadu applealed to heads of the various schools to ensure the proper care of the items to promote effective teaching and learning.
Madam Rosemond Hayford the head teacher of Wesco Practice Annex who received the items on behalf of the schools expressed their gratitude to the MP for the kind gresture and also promise the MP to make good use of the items.
