let’s look at some few facts about Governor #ChairmanWontumi.
1. Chairman Wontumi Rented the current Regional office for 10yrs after moving the party to the building housing Akoma fm for some few months.
2. The family asked that some family members be made to stay at the down below and boys quarters for 3 months.
3. They ended up staying there for all these 8yrs
4. For all these 8yrs, these family members do not pay water and electricity bills
5. Chairman Wontumi paid every pesewa for the whole 10yrs.
6. Chairman Wontumi used his own money to renovate the whole house and that ought to have used to extend the tenancy agreement.
7. Houses are renovated by the Landlord not the tenant and so if a tenant should use his money for renovation, the same must be used to extend the tenancy agreement.
8. He intends dealing with the family members making the claim that the party owes them rent.
Other matters
9. Chairman Wontumi as a constituency Chairman built the Bosomtwe party office with his MP now Ashanti Regional Minister.
10. Chairman Wontumi ALONE bought the land for the Regional Party Office which is been constructed.
11. Others pledged to help with the construction of the Regional office but covid set in and those help never came
12. The few materials that were donated ended up in Akwasi Nti’s container which he carried away.
13. Chairman had to destroy an already started structure for a 4 storey party office for a new one that he can afford.
14. Today he’s single-handedly building the the New Regional Office with his Own money.
Other Issues in the Region.
15. NPP Ashanti has the most Ministers
16. NPP Ashanti has the most CEOs
17. NPP Ashanti has the most Board chairmen and board members.
18. Chairman Wontumi has eradicated ballot stuffing from the region.
19. Chairman Wontumi has eradicated NDC’s threats not to allow people to vote in the Region.
20. Chairman has spent a whopping 15million Ghana Cedis on 1.5 million people
21. Chairman Wontumi before the onset of Free SHS was paying the fees of over 5000 SHS students across the region.
22. Several jobs recruitment’s have also be given to Ashanti NPP.
23. The biggest achievement however is leading the party into government from opposition and staying in government 2 consecutive times.
24. Chairman Wontumi sets up Wontumi TV and Radio which had become a mouthpiece for the NPP government. Appointees from across Ghana use it to propagate the good works of this government Free of Charge.
25. He’s began efforts in setting up other media outlets in other region such as Accra, Western etc. Just so the NPP can continually tell Ghanafuo their good works.
With all these achievements within the region, #ChairmanWontumi has never been on a board, or received any Government appointment from Prez Kuffour to Prez NanaAddo.
Why vilify such a man, who only works so hard using his own money for people to enjoy big appointments just so you can become the Regional Chairman???
